According to PWInsider, Eddie Crawford, professionally known to Memphis Wrestling and Mid-South Wrestling fans as “The Snowman”, passed away on Wednesday from a heart attack.
Crawford was trained by Jerry Lawler and Koko Ware. He debuted as “The Snowman” for Memphis Wrestling when it was running under the then name of CWA in 1984.
“The Snowman” moniker was said to have been a nickname given to Crawford by Blues Singer O.V. Wright. He worked with veterans such as Dutch Mantel, Tom Prichard, Len Denton and Eddie Gilbert.
It was said that outside of professional wrestling, Crawford was a police officer in Collierville, TN and also taught bible studies.
