As we reported earlier, former EliteXC and UFC star Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson will make his pro wrestling debut in Japan working for the IGF promotion on February 5. USA Today’s Sergio Non has picked up the story noting that Slice has decided to abandon a possible career in boxing after being cut by UFC following a stint on “The Ultimate Fighter” reality series according to promoter Gary Shaw.
“Upon his return, he didn’t show me any interest in boxing, so we just decided for right now to put it to the side. Due to the wear and tear on his body, he wasn’t able to perform up to the standard we wanted him to.”
