October 21, 2021 has officially been declared NWA Day in the state of Georgia.
October 21, was chosen because current NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis regained the Championship Belt from Cody Rhodes at the NWA 70th Anniversary show in Nashville, Tennessee back on October 21, 2018.
Aldis has held the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship for over 800 days.
Georgia was the main location for Jim Crockett Promotion’s National Wrestling Alliance with studio wrestling, and then later World Championship Center on then Superstation WTBS.
The NWA will return to pay-per-view on FITE TV this Sunday, March 21 with Back For The Attack.
It was an honor to receive, on behalf of the @nwa, the Senate Resolution declaring Oct 21 "NWA day" in the great state of Georgia. @GovKemp and Senator Mullis were very welcoming and proud of the historic and continued relationship between the state and the NWA. #nwapowerrr pic.twitter.com/3yTeoSWHAZ
