According to a report by PWInsider, Ring of Honor’s World Champion Matt Taven has a contract that is set to expire at the end of September.
ROH and Taven have not come to terms on a new deal as of this writing.
Taven, who debuted in 2010, is the current World Champion of the company. Taven won the title in a triple threat ladder match against Marty Scurll and Jay Lethal at the ROH-NJPW G1 Supercard at Madison Square Garden earlier this year.
Taven is booked for shows through mid-September. He is not yet booked for ROH’s next PPV Death Before Dishonor on September 27.
Wrestleview’s attempt to reach ROH for a comment was not immediately returned. We will continue to follow this story as more develops.
