SPOILER: ROH Championship change occurs at tonight’s TV tapings in Fairfax

ROH Championship

Jay Lethal won his second ROH Championship at tonight’s ROH TV tapings in Fairfax, Virginia.

In a match that will stream later tonight on ROH’s HonorClub streaming service, Lethal def. ROH Champion Dalton Castle, Cody and Matt Taven in a Fatal 4-Way Match to win the title.

The move mostly took place due to Castle’s piling up of injuries over the last few months, including nerve damage, a displaced hip and a fracture in his back. Castle did retain the ROH Championship at last night’s Best in the World PPV main event from Baltimore in a Triple Threat Match against Cody and Marty Scurll.

Lethal is currently set to appear at the big “ALL IN” event on September 1st in Chicago at the Sears Center and with the current storyline that Cody had to be ROH Champion to get a NWA title shot against current champion Nick Aldis, that would seem to be the next direction for ROH over the ROH Championship throughout the summer.

ROH posted the in-ring segment between Castle, Taven, Lethal and Cody that set-up the Fatal 4-Way Match that you can see below.
