After yesterday’s New Japan Pro Wrestling event in Uwajima was canceled last minute, NJPW has confirmed that this Sunday’s Summer Struggle show in Shizuoka will go on as scheduled.
The house show was canceled after a wrestler who was scheduled to appear developed a fever. The wrestler immediately took a COVID-19 test. NJPW announced that it was in the best interests of health and safety for other wrestlers and fans in attendance to cancel the show.
Earlier today, NJPW announced that the wrestler’s antigen and antibody tests came back negative, and therefor, Sunday’s show will now still go on as scheduled.

We apologize for the concern to our fans.
