Power Trip Wrestling Press Release
Power Trip Wrestling regretfully announce that due to a shoulder injury,
and his upcoming surgery upon it requiring a currently estimated three to
four months out of wrestling; the company will be stripping the PTW World
Champion, El Ligero, of the title.
This is not a decision we at PTW wanted to come to, or have taken lightly,
but the title being defended on a regular basis is something that our fans
deserve. This of course, is no fault of El Ligero’s, and we wish him the
very best in his rehab; and we also state that once he is of full health
and ready to wrestle once more, he will hopefully be brought back in and
we hope to give him his opportunity to regain the title.
Until then, PTW Promoter Petey Staniforth has taken the decision to vacate
the PTW World Title, and for a tournament to crown a new PTW World
Champion to take place at the most suitable and immediate time possible
for all concerned.
Unrelated, Power Trip Wrestling can also announce a working relationship
with the UWA (Urban Wrestling Alliance), who are based in South Shields;
in the Northeast of England. This is hot on the heels of PTW’s agreement
with the SHWA (Southern Hemisphere Wrestling Alliance), who are based in
Perth, Western Australia.
