!BANG! TV Report – Dory Funk Jr. – Teaming with Wes Brisco, Memories of Jack Brisco
Just the thought of being in the ring with Wes Brisco brings back so many memories. My first match as NWA World Champion against Wes’s Uncle Jack Brisco was at Miami Convention Hall. We wrestled to a one hour time limit draw. In the audience that night Eddie Graham was sitting next to Vince McMahon Sr. After the match Eddie came back to the dressing room and told me the following. “As the match reached the 55 minute mark, Eddie leaned over to Vince and said, “Can you imagine all this heat and they have yet to even throw a punch?”

3/12- CWE Explicit Content Results
Official results from Canadian Wrestling’s Elite Explicit Content event on Thursday, March 8th in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
1) In the opening contest Tommy Lee Curtis defeated Tyler Colton and JJ Sanchez in a 3 way dance.
2) The Alliance of Defiance refused to wrestle each other in their scheduled tag team match which almost resulted in Team Impact having to wrestle The Big Sexy Beasts for the tag titles and Mentallo and Moses Luke losing their title rematches. Before Madison could make that decision Team Impact blind sided their team mates and the match was under way. Team Impact looked like they were going to steal the victory with the assistance of referee Kat Von Heez again when the BSB pulled her out of the ring before she could count two and Chevy choke slammed Royce allowing Mentallo to hit the moonsault for the win. On April 19th, Team Impact defend the tag team titles against The Big Sexy Beasts and Mentallo and Moses Luke win the right to challenge for the CWE Title and 123Approved.ca Open Rules title.
3) “The Brickhouse” Paul Arcidi retained his 123Approved.ca Open Rules title against Ike Idol following a Brickhouse Slam. Following the match an unnamed man hit the ring and savagely attacked Ike Idol just as he did the month before with Bubbles McFly. Kevin Cannon appeared on the video screen and stated this is just the beginning of things to come.
4) “The Alpha Male” Matt Fairlane defeated Dusty Lamborghini. Following the match Fairlane delivered two piledrivers on a steel chair to Lamborghini in attempt to express his frustration for being by passed yet again for a title opportunity.
5) “Mr. Beefy Goodness” Vance Nevada appeared live via satellite from Red Deer, Alberta expressing his displeasure for being de-booked by Shane Madison and for the Winnipeg wrestling scene as a whole. Nevada made it very clear that much like Madison’s attempts before to rid him of the city that this would fail and that Madison could expect to see him sooner than later.
6) Size Matters, Zack Mercury and The Axe defeated Nate Hardy in a handicap match. Prior to the match Hardy explained to the crowd that Size Matters had injured his partner Darian Karisma at the 3 year anniversary show and that he would miss a years worth of action. Hardy determined to get revenge made the decision to go into the match alone and ultimately couldn’t overcome the size and power of his large opponents. Following the match Shane Madison expressed he didn’t like the bullying on behalf of Axe and Mercury of their smaller opponent and that on April 19th he was going to even the playing field by naming former WWF & WCW World champion “Psycho” Sid Vicious Nate Hardy’s tag team partner!
7) WWE legend and Hall of Famer “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase made a special appearance and addressed the people of Winnipeg with his excitement to be back in the city. Before he could get too many words out he was interrupted by JJ Sanchez who insulted DiBiase for being past his prime and irrelevant. Before JJ knew it he was in the Million Dollar Dream which brought out his running mate “Pimp Daddy” Rick Matthews. Before Matthews could get his hands on DiBiase CWE champion “Hotshot” Danny Duggan made his way to the ring and blasted the two for insulting and disrespecting a legend and said on behalf of DiBiase would teach Matthews a lesson.
8) CWE Champion “Hotshot” Danny Duggan w/”The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase retained his championship against “Pimp Daddy” Rick Matthews w/JJ Sanchez following a Cruel Summer Double Knee Drop.
9) The Big Sexy Beasts, AJ Sanchez and Kevy Chevy beat the team of MARIUS and Agent Red. Following the match Team Impact attacked Sanchez and Chevy with a chair. As they attempted to put them through a table the locker room broke it up. Madison announced that their tag team title match on April 19th would be contested in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match.
10) In the main event “The Innovator of Violence” Tommy Dreamer and The Original Thug Crew of Darren “The Bomb” Dalton & “The Canadian Crime Spree” Spyder defeated The Sons of Anarchy in an Extreme Rules 6-man tag team match when Dreamer and then the OTC slammed Mike Mission on a barbed wire board. The masked mystery man on the Sons of Anarchy was revealed to be Billy Blaze.
CWE returns to Cowboy’s Roadhouse in Winnipeg on April 19th. Stay posted to www.cwecanada for event information as it develops!
