On Saturday morning June 4th, 2011, the world lost a genuine human being in Christopher Stewart Barbour. He touched many lives in the community through his work with Rent-A-Center and his many fans to which he thrilled through his time in the wrestling ring. Better known to his loyal fan base as Chris Craven, he spent many nights and weekends wowing the crowds with his ability. Chris also had a bu…rning passion for music and was a member of several bands including A Sunset Morning. Christopher left behind a fiancé, five year old Aidan, one year old Caydance, and newly born this past December, Grayson For his many friends and family, the time has come to pay tribute to this man who left us all way too soon. On Saturday Night, February 18th, 2012, Dirty South Championship Wrestling will proudly present the 1st annual Chris Craven Memorial Show at the National Guard Armory in Shallotte, N.C., bell time will be 7:30 p.m.
All proceeds from this event will go to his children. Donations will also be taken. Tickets are 10 dollars and are available at Central Auto Parts and Rent-A-Center, both in Shallotte, N.C. There are 7 big matches scheduled for this event. Scheduled to appear are some of independent wrestling’s biggest stars such as The Ring Masters( JM Nelson &Evan Lee Devine), The Legendary Muscle Shoals , Fabulous Frankie Fontaine, Bobby Savage, Bone crusher Travis Jones, Rowdy Rebel, Big Country Blake Barnes and many more. Former WCW and current NWA star Stro “The Maestro of Wrestling” will also be making a special appearance. There will be raffle prizes, concessions, meet and greet with the wrestlers as well as many other things. Please take time to come out and support this great cause. Former WCW and current NWA, TV, and Film star Stro “The Maestro of Wrestling” makes his return to Virginia Saturday March 3rd with the BWF event at Prince Edward Middle School in Farmville, Va. Belltime is 8 pm.
