IRON JAY COLES DEFEATS MASSIVE Q AT
PSYCHOTICSLAM PENRITH TO BECOME
NEW AWF AUSTRALASIAN CHAMPION!
27 August – Penrith, NSW, Australia:
Iron Jay Coles surprised Massive Q, as TNT announced him as the replacement for the scheduled Wayne “The Maniac” Mattei at PsychoticSlam Penrith. After a grueling back and forth bout, the finale saw interference from The Freakshow backfire, and assistance from TNT, Blakestone and Powerhouse Theo helped Iron Jay become the new Australasian Champion.
An elated Coles celebrated after the win with many of his friends to end a great card at Penrith Panthers. Highlights of the bout will air this week on AWF’s TV show “This Is AWF Wrestling” on Aurora Channel 183.
Iron Jay continued the weekend, with success against New Zealand’s Tama Williams and USA’s Sonjay Dutt.
AWF wishes Coles success as the new Australasian Champion, and he pledged to be a great representative for AWF and the fans.
Iron Jay will defend his newly won title against number 1 contender “Scientific” Robert Barnes at Five Dock Leisure Centre on Friday 17 September.

The Australasian Wrestling Federation (AWF) debuts at the Five Dock Leisure Centre on Friday 17 September for a night of fun filled up close and personal live pro-wrestling action. The “This Is AWF Wrestling” lineup will feature the rising wrestlers of the AWF showcasing their talents in 7 entertaining pro-wrestling bouts, in an event suitable for all ages.
The show itself will be taped with excerpts appearing on AWF’s new TV show “This Is AWF Wrestling”, which airs 7pm Tuesdays on Aurora Community Channel 183 on the Foxtel/Austar network. A huge card has been planned that will feature a variety of different personalities and wrestling styles, with many wrestlers looking to establish wins and make a name for themselves with new fans in the Five Dock debut event.
The stacked card will feature the first Sydney Australasian Title defence from newly crowned AWF Champion and cult TV personality Iron Jay Coles, who will be challenged by number 1 contender “Scientific” Robert Barnes, in what is set to be a competitive and heated display of exciting pro-wrestling.
In another main event caliber bout, Commonwealth Champion Powerhouse Theo will team with the muscular granite like Blakestone to avenge recent interference from their opponents “The Freakshow”, consisting of “Psycho Clown” Il Cognito & the 170kg Massive Q.
Elsewhere on the card the super popular Young Lion’s Champion “Mint Condition” Mick Moretti will face the interstate onslaught of Victoria’s Krackerjack, and host of AWF’s TV show and 15 year wrestling veteran TNT, will face the mystery of Korea’s Masked Musa.
This Is AWF Wrestling in Five Dock promises a massive card with 2 hours plus of action! A fun filled night suitable for wrestling fans of all ages.
