7/11- CWE Bad Karma Results for July 10th.
Canadian Wrestling’s Elite results from July 10th at the Maples
Multiplex in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
– The show opened up with the “Road Dogg” Jesse James explaining to
those in attendance that Billy Gunn had flight delays in the US and
would not be in the building tonight. These brought out the Fabulous
Creebirds who assaulted James in attempted to eliminate him from the
4-way number one contenders match. The Strip N Dales ran out to fend
off the attack followed by JJ Sanchez & “Big” Cliff Corleone. As JJ &
Cliff & The Creebirds were getting he upper hand “Prime Cut” Jon
Cutler hit the ring and aided “The Road Dogg” and offered him his
services in place of Billy Gunn.
1) In the opening match 4 time ROH Tag Team champion Jimmy Jacobs
defeated Phil Atlas.
2) Cam!kaze & “The Lion Warrior” Bobby Sharp were victorious in 4 team
turmoil involving other participants from the weekends ROH tryout
camp.
3) “Pimp Daddy” Rick Matthews & “The Brickhouse” Paul Arcidi battled
to a double countout. Following the match the two men had to be pulled
apart and during the commotion Rick Matthews accidentally punched
Arcidi’s valet Jayme Galloway in the head. Matthews got out of dodge
as Arcidi cleaned house on the men trying to separate the two.
4) “Canadian Crazyhorse” Michael Elgin pinned All Japan Pro
Wrestling’s Manabu Soya.
– After the match The Boyz in Da Hood attempted another assault on
Elgin but were easily manhandled. Elgin asked when they were going to
learn and asked what it was going to take for them to leave him alone.
The Boyz explained they realized Elgin had street cred and that there
was strength in numbers and wanted him apart of their gang. Boyz laid
down the challenge for a “North End Street Fight” where if they won
Elgin had to join their gang on a 30 day trial. Elgin agreed and even
offered to tie one arm behind his back for the handicap contest.
5) AJ Sanchez retained the CWE title against challenger Zack Mercury.
6) NWA World champion “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce successfully defended
the World title against CWE Tag Team champion “Hotshot” Danny Duggan.
With the referee down Duggan landed the Cruel Summer double knee stomp
and looked to have Pearce down for a three count the referee couldn’t
attend to. AJ Sanchez slid into the ring and hit Duggan with the CWE
title and put Pearce over Duggan as the referee came to, to make the
count.
– Following the match Sanchez explained he was disgusted and offended
the champion and face of the company wasn’t offered the NWA World
title shot. He didn’t appreciate the fact he has beat the who’s who to
come through CWE and was passed over for Duggan, a man the fans rally
behind. Sanchez explained he wasn’t taking a back seat to anyone
anymore.
7) “The Face of Country Music” JJ Sanchez & “Big” Cliff Corleone
became the number one contenders for the CWE tag team titles in a
match with “The Road Dogg” Jesse James & “Prime Cut” Jon Cutler, The
Strip N Dales and The Fabulous Creebirds when JJ pinned The Road Dogg.
8) Japanese sensation Mentallo ended his rivalry with Kevy Chevy in
what was one of the most grueling ladder matches to ever take place
inside a CWE ring. Mentallo has secured Kevy Chevy’s contract for a
match against anyone at anytime in CWE.
CWE returns to Winnipeg on Thursday, August 12th at One World Studios
located at 1111 Chevrier Blvd. Already announced in the return of WWE
legend Bushwhacker Luke, Ring of Honor star Roderick Strong, and the
