Former Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions – The Briscoes (Jay & Mark Briscoe) defeated Violent By Design (DEANER & Eric Young w/Joe Doering) to become the new IMPACT World Tag Team Champions at Saturday night’s under Siege event.
The event took place from the Promowest Pavilion at Ovation in Newport, Kentucky. The show aired live on IMPACT Plus and the IMPACT Ultimate Insiders YouTube Channel.
Sami Callihan made his return to IMPACT Wrestling at Under Siege, attacking Moose.
Prior to the main event, Moose came to the ring and said that he won’t apologize for the way he has been acting, as it allowed him to be champion. He said that Josh Alexander is a paper champion. As he continued, the lights went out, and a vignette then played on the screen revealing it was Sami Callihan, who then was standing in the ring with a baseball bat in hand to confront Moose.
Sami has been out since last September with a broken ankle. Last month during the IMPACT Rebellion PPV, a vignette aired that read “EGV” and “Coming Soon.” The clip, which has aired weekly since then, had the hidden message written in binary code (01010011 01100001 01101101 01101001) which translates to “Sami.”
