According to a report from FW4Online, IMPACT Wrestling’s first pay-per-view of 2021 – Hard to Kill is said to have brought the company its second-highest PPV buy-rate since losing their TV deal with the now former Spike TV back in 2014.
It is unknown, according to the report what the acutal buyrate numbers are, but it was noted that last July’s Slammiversary pay-per-view which was built around a few surprise appearances from former WWE Superstars is said to have the number one spot.
Hard To Kill featured the in-ring debut of AEW World Champion Kenny Omega as part of the AEW/IMPACT partnership with the storyline which began on December 2, 2020 after Omega won the title from Jon Moxley with help from IMPACT Executive Vice President Don Callis. On the PPV, Omega teamed up with IMPACT World Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers in a six-man tag match against IMPACT World Champion Rich Swann, Moose and Chris Sabin.
