Following a controversial finish in the Best of Five Series between Michael Elgin and Eddie Edwards that ended in a draw on last night’s episode of IMPACT, World Champion Tessa Blanchard came to the ring after the match ended and challenged both men to a Triple Threat Title Match at the Rebellion Pay-Per View which takes place at Terminal 5 in New York City on Sunday, April 19.
During the closing moments of the match, Elgin inadvertently clotheslined the referee. Eddie then hit the Boston Knee Party on Elgin. A second referee comes out to count and Elgin kicks out at two. Elgin then locks in a submission while Eddie gets him in a pinning predicament. At the exact same time, Eddie scores the pin while Elgin forces him to tap out.
The series was tied 2-2 coming into last night’s episode.
