Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion TJ Perkins (formally TJP in WWE) made his return to Impact Wrestling during Thursday night’s television tapings held at the Melrose Ballroom in Queens, New York.
Perkins defeated Ace Austin on the tapings.
Perkins had previously worked for TNA/Impact Wrestling off and on between 2004 and 2013, and then returned to the company in 2013 working as Manik and Suicide up until January 2016 when he was informed that his contract would not being renewed.
Perkins was the very first WWE star to hold the company’s Cruiserweight Championship.
He was released from his WWE contract in February of this year.
