A number of changes have reportedly taken place within TNA Wrestling’s staff, most notably on the creative and live event side of things.
Dave Meltzer noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Robert “RD” Evans resigned as head of creative this week.
A report from PWInsider states that the relationship between Evans and TNA had “grown strained in recent weeks,” though a new report from Fightful Select has noted that an email went out thanking Evans for his work with the company.
Fightful Select also confirmed that three other employees were let go, including longtime producer David Sahadi and Lou D’Angeli, who served as VP of Marketing at Anthem Sports Group with TNA.
The departures are said to be a sign of Anthem wanting to go in a new direction, to become more effective in the live event markets.
Per Fightful Select, the taping schedule for TNA continues into late August with further announcements yet to be made as of this writing.
