IMPACT Wrestling held night one of its Summer Sizzler television tapings on Friday evening at Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia.
Below are the spoilers for matches and segments that will air on future episodes of IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV.
The show opened with Dirty Dango cutting a promo, which then lead into a match with him and Crazy Steve. Dango won with an inverted DDT. After the match, Dango cut another promo, calling Santino Marella a disgrace. Santino came out to respond as the two went back and forth on the mic. Heath rans in and attacked Dango from behind.
Chris Sabin defended the X-Division Championship against Trey Miguel. Sabin had the match won, but the returning Rascal Zachary Wentz (Also known as former NXT Tag Team Champion Nash Carter), ran in. They jumped Sabin until Alex Shelley ran down to make the save.
Lio Rush defeated Jack Price
Masha Slamovich defeated Knockouts Tag Team Champion KiLynn King, when Courtney Rush ran in to neutralize Taylor Wilde on the outside and choked her with a chain. Masha then attached herself to the other side of the chain and left with Rush.
Kenny King defeated Yuya Uemura, with the Royal Flush. Joe Hendry interrupted King’s celebration and brought him a gift in the form of a music video poking fun of King’s Chippendale Male Dancer past.
Nick Aldis came out to cut a promo about his attack on IMPACT Wrestling Champion Alex Shelley. He then called out Shelley. Shelley came out and Aldis asked him to sit in the crowd with the IMPACT fans. Aldis then explained why he attacked Shelley, by calling him a fake revolutionary who tried to keep people like Nick Aldis away. The two then brawled and Sabin ran in for the save. Lio Rush then ran in and he and Aldis beat down Shelley and Sabin.
Eddie Edwards defeated Frankie Kazarian.
Champagne Singh & Shera vs. Sami Callihan & Rich Swann. Sami & Rich won with a spin kick/piledriver combo.
Angels (accompanied by the rest of The Design) vs. Jonathan Gresham. Gresham won with the Octopus Stretch. Gresham asked for a handshake after the match. Deaner came in and yelled at Angels not to shake Gresham’s hand. Angels then pushed Deaner away and shook Gresham’s hand and walked off with Gresham.
Gisele Shaw defeated Courtney Rush with a rollup.
Johnny Swinger defeated Chic Donovan. Ernest Miller came out and restarted the match. Donovan then defeated Swinger won.
IMPCAT Wrestling Tag Team Champion Chris Bey defeated Kevin Knight in a good back and forth match.
Knockouts IMPACT Champion Deonna Purrazzo defeated Taylor Wilde with the Queen’s Gambit.
Alex Shelley defended the IMPACT Championship against Brian Myers, winning by submission.
Steve Maclin defeated PCO in a street fight. Maclin cut a post match promo yelling at the crowd not to leave because he has something to say. He called himself the King of Extreme. Tommy Dreamer then cames out. Dreamer hit Maclin with Dusty punches and the bionic elbow, followed by PCO hitting Maclin with a chokeslam. It is unclear how much, if any of this part will make it on to TV – Dreamer told the crowd his last match at Center Stage was January 7, 2000. He then said his mom passed a month ago and he has been diagnosed with skin cancer. He put over the IMPACT locker room as the reason he keeps coming back. He said he promises not to fade away and says he will perform Saturday night in Center Stage. He gave the mic to PCO as he closed out the night with “Atlanta, GA… You’re alive!”
