The WWE Tag Team Championship Match scheduled for Friday’s SmackDown, did not take place as originally planned.
#DIY, Motor City Machine Guns and the Street Profits will instead compete on next Friday’s WrestleMania fallout episode of SmackDown, in a TLC Match for the tag titles. It what was supposed to the Motor City Machine Guns challenging the Street Profits for the belts, ended up seeing DIY coming out and grabbing the title belts and walking out with them to cause a disqualification.
Then during a backstage segment, a very mad Nick Aldis grabbed the titles and announced this issue with the teams would be settled on the 4/25 episode of SmackDown with all three teams competing for the titles in a TLC Match.
Also during Friday’s episode, a mysterious vignette aired with the date of 4.25.25. It showed smoke rising as imaged flashed and ended with next Friday’s date. Another mystery vignette also aired in recent weeks.

It has been heavily speculated these vignettes have been teasers for Aleister (Malakai) Black who left AEW earlier this year, with his last match taking place on the February 19 episode of Dynamite, where he hugged Adam Cole after their match, which then started the speculation Black was on his way of the company after that. AEW began backstage segments with Julia Hart, Brodie King and Buddy Matthews moving on without their leader. The three have since formed the new Hounds of Hell faction.
Next Friday’s WWE SmackDown will take place at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.
