During a live Fanatics live stream on Thursday at WWE World in Las Vegas, which was hosted by Big E and Tyler Breeze, Big E officially confirmed Rusev is returning to WWE.
When Big E and Brezze pulled a Rusev card from 2017, Big E said Rusev has confirmed he is coming back to WWE.
“Someone that has just been announced to return. You didn’t see that? I reached out to him, and he confirmed that the news is indeed true…I don’t know when he’ll be back, but there is Rusev. A blast from the past. And actually this is very topical because he has just announced that he is returning to the squared circle here in World Wrestling Entertainment.”
Rusev was seen earlier this month at WWE’s headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. He is a former WWE United States Champion as Rusev and as Miro, a former AEW TNT Champion.
After having only wrestled eleven matches in AEW since 2021, the company released Miro this past February. He is scheduled to appear at for the independent promotion, KnokX Pro in Las Vegas on Friday. He graduated from the promotion’s wrestling school.
