FTR turns on Adam Copeland at Sunday’s AEW Dynasty

Following their unsuccessful attempt to capture the World Trios Titles from The Death Riders (PAC, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta), at Sunday night’s AEW Dynasty, FTR turned on their tag team partner and friend, Adam Copeland.

Below is the excerpt from Alex Kahrs’ AEW Dynasty recap of how it all went down.

The champs celebrate as they leave through the crowd, and we are left with Rated FTR to regroup inside the ring. COPE gets to his feet, offering a hand to Harwood that is followed by Cash offering the same as they help Dax to his feet. The three men stand tall for a moment, before Dax catches COPE with a piledriver onto the mat! Cash is shocked by this as Dax leaves the ring, grabbing a pair of chairs from ringside. He sets COPE’s head up on one chair, handing the other to Wheeler…who throws it aside and shoves Harwood!

Cash brings COPE to his feet…before pulling him in for a Shatter Machine with Harwood! This leads to Dax setting COPE up for a spike piledriver with the assist by Wheeler, who is handed a chair afterward to connect with a Con-Chair-To on the Rated R Superstar! The crowd is livid as they boo FTR, who have not had enough even as Doc Sampson rushes in to stop the chaos. Cash hits another Con-Chair-To on COPE, even mocking him as Cash puts on the neck brace and feigns being put on the stretcher. He and Dax finally leave up the ramp as the crowd continues booing, while medical staff tend to the Rated R Superstar.

Sunday’s event emanated from the Liacouras Center on the Campus of Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
