Current AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone is reportedly set to go in a new creative direction in the coming weeks.
According to a source that spoke with Fightful Select, Mone AEW is expected to pair up with The Renegade Twins, Robyn and Charlette Renegade. Mone was victorious over Robyn in singles action on Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision.
In addition, the same source told Fightful Select that the reason Mone will be aligned with the twins is to give them a boost in the women’s division, while also having Mone go in a different direction creatively.
The report concluded by noting that Mone, the twins and others backstage have been pushing the idea for quite sometime. Furthermore, everyone involved is excited to be on board with the direction and are enthusiastic about working together.
