According to Dave Meltzer in his latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, former NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Ken Shamrock has been mentioned by WWE for a potential 2025 Hall of Fame induction.
Shamrock is recognized as TNA’s first-ever champion, when he won the vacant NWA World Heavyweight Championship during a gauntlet match at the promotion’s inaugural pay-per-view which took place at the Von Braun Civic Center in Huntsville, Alabama back on June 19, 2002. He is also a former WWE Intercontinental and Tag Team Champion and 1998 WWE King of the Ring winner.
In Mixed Martial Arts, Shamrock is a UFC Superfight Champion, first-ever inductee into the UFC Hall of Fame and was inducted into the TNA Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2020. He is also the founder of the Lion’s Den mixed martial arts training camp with his older brother Frank Shamrock.
During his appearance on a previous Insights With Chris Van Vliet, Shamrock said being part of the WWE Hall of Fame would be “icing on the cake.”
If Shamrock is announced for the 2025 WWE Hall of Class, he will join Triple H, Michelle McCool, Lex Luger and The Natural Disasters (Earthquake and Typhoon). The ceremony takes place in Winchester, Nevada on April 18 after SmackDown at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas in the BleauLive Theater, before night one of WrestleMania 41.
The 2025 WWE Hall of Fame will air live on Peacock in the United States and Netflix Internationally.
