Before Dynamite went on the air from the Knoxville Coliseum in Knoxville, Tennessee, former TNA talent Crazzy Steve lost to Serpentico. Steve’s last name on the graphic was spelled as ‘Crazy’ (not ‘Crazzy’). Serpentico pinned Crazy Steve with a frog splash. There was said to have been a good reaction for Steve and that he looked good.
After Dynamite went off the air, Jay White extended his hand to introduce himself to Adam Copeland. “We’ve never met. I’m Switchblade Jay White.” Cope then said, “It may not look like it right now, but I’m the baddest motherf—– in this place.” White then responded by saying, “I don’t doubt that…to take down The Death Riders we’re gonna need the baddest motherf—— in this place!!” White then left the ring.
Copeland then said the following to the fans:
“Knoxville. The last time I was here, I faced AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio. Tonight I faced PAC and hot damn it was hard, but I’m still standing. No matter what The Death Riders do, I’m always going to get back up.” Copeland then promised that next time he comes back he will be the AEW World Heavyweight Champion.
After Copeland left the ring and went backstage, Tony Khan came out and told the fans in Knoxville this was a dream come true. He then asked if anyone remembers Smoky Mountain Wrestling. Khan said that when he was a kid, it was his absolute favorite wrestling to watch. Khan closed by promising it won’t be the last time he runs Knoxville.
