The woman (requested to be anonymous) who is the ex-partner for former partner WWE talent Odyssey Jones (real name Omari Palmer), spoke to POST Wrestling just a few days after Jones released a statement pertaining to the allegations of domestic abuse.
The woman or ex-partner as she will be referred to has alleged Jones engaged in physical abuse against her. Her allegations are outlined in a police report that was done in 2024 that was obtained by POST Wrestling and further elaborated during an interview that was done with the publication.
Below are the main highlights from the interview with POST Wrestling.
-The police report was filed on May 23, 2024 with the Maitland Police Department and contains allegations of battery that occurred on May 17, 2024.
-The report indicates that Jones (Palmer) became “extremely angry” after he discovered text messages the ex-partner sent to another man. The ex-partner alleges Palmer threw her items, grabbed her and slammed her to the floor twice.
-Documented in the police report are photos of bruises on the ex-partner’s shoulders and both legs, in which she claimed were caused by Palmer. However, Palmer has denied the allegations of battery in the same police report. This part of the police report further notes Palmer became upset and threw objects around the apartment, but did deny the throwing of objects at her. Palmer claims neither of them became physical during the incident.
-POST Wrestling contacted Palmer. However, he declined to provide comments for the publication’s story.
-Reporting officer Willington Camargo wrote towards the end of his narrative that he requested charges to be filed on Palmer for battery, one count.
-The Orange County State Attorney’s Office confirmed on Wednesday to POST Wrestling the case is still under review, with no decision yet on whether to formally press charges and has been assigned to Kristina Mills, who is the Bureau Chief of Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking for the State Attorney’s Office, per a LinkedIn profile POST Wrestling notes that appears to be hers.
-The ex-partner also alleges additional incidents of abuse took place during a Caribbean cruise shortly after the altercation that happened on May 17. Despite the incident which allegedly took place at Palmer’s apartment, the couple still went on the cruise together as originally planned.
-The ex-partner alleges he threatened to break her phones before leaving and insisted that she was not going anywhere because the trip had already been planned out. Palmer’s ex-partner told POST Wrestling that she told him she saw where this was going and she was going to leave because things were not going to go good on the trip. She added that she saw repeated behavior…Palmer told her to sit her a– down and calm down and that they were leaving the following morning for the trip.
-Once on the cruise, the ex-partner alleges the abuse continued and Palmer caused her to suffer a concussion, destroyed their cabin and threw one of her phones overboard (into the sea). She also alleged that Palmer bashed her against the walls in the cabin a few times because she was leaving the room and thus had bruises all over her body.
-Palmer filed a protection order of protection against his ex-partner in September 2024. The order (or petition), he says that he filed with the Maitland Police Department includes a claim that his ex-partner stalked him. The department told POST Wrestling that no such record of a report stating Palmer’s allegations exist. The only police report on file is the ex-partner’s battery allegation filed in May 2024.
-Palmer’s filing give a much different account of what took place on the cruise. He alleges his ex-partner became physically violent during, accusing him of inappropriate interactions with another woman. Palmer said that his ex-partner became increasingly irate and started punching, slapping, and kicking him. Palmer said that he attempted to defend himself from her attack by hugging her arms to her side.
-Palmer’s filings further claim his ex-partner subjected him to physical violence, threats, and harassment, which caused him to fear for his safety. He also alleged his ex-partner attacked him at a hotel back in December 2023. The court granted Palmer the protective order, which was recently extended through January 2028, without making a determination of fault in the underlying allegations.
-Palmer’s ex-partner denies his claims of violence, harassment, and threats. She said that she believes Palmer was granted the protective order partly because she did not have any representation in Florida, as she is not a resident in the state. The ex-partner told POST Wrestling that Palmer twisted the story to benefit him and told his lawyer lies which clearly were not backed up by evidence and that Palmer manipulated the situation.
-The ex-partner says WWE conducted its own investigation into her claims and ultimately fired Palmer in September 2024. WWE did not confirm or comment on Palmer’s release from the company. The ex-partner expressed to POST Wrestling her gratitude toward WWE for taking her allegations seriously, stating they contacted her to discuss the matter during the time of their investigation.
-Palmer’s ex-partner told POST Wrestling she is supportive of legal action against him in Orange County (Florida) related to the potential battery charge and is no longer afraid to speak up after the fear Palmer instilled in her for so long. .
