WWE has posted a video taking a look back at the greatest moments in Raw’s history on the USA Network. Next Monday’s Raw will premiere on Netflix in reported 10-year deal worth $500 million per-year.
WWE Monday Night Raw first debuted on the USA Network, airing live from the Manhattan Center in New York City on January 11, 1993 with just a one hour format with a start time of 9:00 pm ET. On June 28, 2000 Viacom outbid the USA Network for the rights to Raw, as the show would move to TNN and premiere on the network on September 25, 2000.
On March 10, 2005, Viacom and WWE decided not move forward with an agreement to air Raw on Spike TV (formerly TNN, now the Paramount Network), ending Raw and other WWE programs on Spike TV, when the deal was set to expire on September 2005. Raw returned to its former home in October of 2005.
