AEW star Ricky Starks made a surprise appearance at the DEFY Blueprint event at the historic Washington Hall in Seattle on Sunday night.
Starks appearance happened after KENTA’S successful DEFY World Championship defense against Schaff. Starks confronted KENTA, as the two went face-to-face in the ring.
Starks is still signed to AEW, but has not appeared on AEW programming since the March 30 episode of AEW Collision on TNT, following an injury scare. There have been several rumors and reports Starks has not been on AEW television due to what amounts to having creative differences. Starks, however did refute those rumors.
He made an appearance this past October at a Glory Pro event and the GCW Dream On PPV that took place in November. However, he was then pulled from his future appearances for GCW. Starks is set to compete against TNA star Mike Santana at House of Glory’s Watch The Throne event on January 17.
During the ROH Final Battle Media Call, Tony Khan was asked about Starks and he said to tune into the Fight for the Fallen episode of Dynamite to see who will be a part of AEW, as both Dynamite and Collision will begin broadcasting live both on TBS and TNT starting the first week of January.
