Report: Update on potential WrestleMania plans for John Cena

Following recent speculation on plans for John Cena at WrestleMania 41, PWInsider has reported that the majority of the talk has circled around the idea of the Undisputed WWE Championship coming into play.

The update comes after rumors of Cena facing Logan Paul have been noted as “100 percent not happening” per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer, who added that there has been idea of Cena challenging for a world title to break the record set by Ric Flair.

WrestleMania 41 is advertised as being Cena’s last, as he embarks on a retirement tour throughout 2025 with appearances already set for the debut of Raw on Netflix, the Royal Rumble in Indianapolis, and Elimination Chamber in Toronto.

The former WWE Champion would likely find himself across the ring from current champion Cody Rhodes, who recently retained the title against Kevin Owens at Saturday Night’s Main Event, though plans could change particularly with the possibility of involvement from The Rock.

WrestleMania 41 takes place Saturday, April 19 and Sunday, April 20 from Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.
