FOX 17-WZTV in Nashville posted an article on Jeff Jarrett, who “rang the bell” for The Salvation Army in his hometown of Hendersonville.
The charity’s National Commander issued a nationwide challenge to see who can raise the most dollars in a single kettle within a 4-hour window on Saturday, with the WWE Hall of Famer lending support in the town.
Jarrett, who serves on the Salvation Army advisory board in the Nashville area, talked about the importance of the fundraising efforts:
This time of year, a lot of people don’t understand but the Salvation Army, this basically about a six-week period is where we raise funds that really carry us through all twelve months. In the world we live in, people are going through a tough time in life, experiencing homelessness, the Salvation Army is really there with a helping hand to get folks back on their feet.
As noted by the local station, Red Kettle Campaign funds help support families and individuals in the community through rent and utility assistance, meals, shelter, and housing navigation assistance.
Jarrett’s wrestling career has seen him appear for GCW and NWA in more recent years, and has been a part of AEW since November 2022.
