Two Title Matches added to WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

Coming out of Monday’s WWE Raw, two new championship matches have been booked for Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Liv Morgan will defend the WWE Women’s World Championship against IYO SKY.

The match came about after Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez defeated SKY and Kairi Sane in a tag team match. After the match, Morgan and Rodriguez continued their attack on SKY and Sane. Rhea Ripley then came down to make the save, but had her eye slammed into the announce table by Rodriguez.

The other new title match is Gunther defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor.

This match came about after Gunther was attacked by Balor, following Gunther’s win over Dominik Mysterio. During Survivor Series, Gunther took out Balor after he interfered in his World Title Match against Damian Priest, causing Priest to lose.

The third title match so far on the Saturday Night’s Main Event card is Cody Rhodes defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens.

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event emanates from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, NY which was the site for the very-first episode that aired on NBC back on May 11, 1985. The show will air live on NBC and Peacock on December 14 at 8:00 pm ET/5:00 pm PT.
