During last Friday night’s WWE SmackDown, General Manager Nick Aldis revealed the new Women’s United States Championship.
On this week’s SmackDown, it was announced that the tournament begins on next Friday’s SmackDown, with the inaugural champion to crowned at Saturday Night’s Main Event which takes place live coast to coast on NBC and Peacock at 8:00 pm on December 14.
WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H revealed the bracket for the tournament. There are four triple threat matches in the first round, with the winners moving on to the semifinals and the two winners squaring off at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Next week’s show will see the first round triple threat match with Chelsea Green vs. Bianca Belair vs. Blair Davenport.
Also set for next week’s show is Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes going face-to-face.
The November 22 episode of WWE SmackDown will air live on the USA Network and emanate from the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
