According to a report from F4WOnline, AEW planning on holding a live episode of Collsion from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on Saturday, December 21. Tony Khan is also reportedly on planning to hold ROH Final Battle at the same venue the day before.
Also, per F4WOnline, during an interview with SportsGrid, Khan said that he thought holding either an AEW or ROH event at the Hammerstein Ballroom isa “very interesting idea.” Khan also said he has never been to the venue, but has watched other wrestling shows on TV that took place from there. He also added during the same interview that he thinks Hammerstein Ballroom is a “really cool looking room.”
The Hammerstein Ballroom has hosted previous ROH events when it was owned by Sinclair Broadcasting Group, the original ECW and the ECW under the WWE banner. Game Changer Wrestling is scheduled to hold and event there next year.
