AJ Styles responds to fans about his recent injury being fake

WWE Superstar AJ Styles responded to fans on social media about his most recent injury.

One fans says he doesn’t buy that Styles is actually injured that the entire thing is based on Jackie Redmond, who is WWE’s payroll and Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, who is as reliable as a discount condom from a Dollar General.

The other fan, pointed out that Styles’ injury often ends the seasons of NFL running back, and was the same injury that took out NFL Cam Newton for the NFL season in 2016.

Styles responded by saying is “cooked.”

Styles suffered the injury during his match against Carmelo Hayes on the October 4 episode of WWE SmackDown. It was first reported that the injury was believed to have been part of an angle. However, it now appears that the injury is legitimate and not part of an angle.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, in a separate report noted that those in WWE claimed to him that the flip where Styles sold the knee was to be a work and that the move where (Styles) had landed on the knee was legit.

According to the Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Lisfranc (midfoot) injuries result if bones in the midfoot are broken or ligaments that support the midfoot are torn. The severity of a Lisfranc injury can vary widely, from a simple injury involving one midfoot joint to a complex injury involving many midfoot joints and broken bones…simple Lisfranc injury can be easily mistaken for a sprain, especially if the injury is a result of a straightforward twist and fall. However, injury to the Lisfranc joint is not a simple sprain that should be “walked off” or expected to heal quickly. Even a simple Lisfranc injury is a severe injury that may take many months to heal and may require surgery to treat.
