Two title changes take place at AEW WrestleDream Main Card on Saturday night

The AEW International Championship and the AEW World Championship both changed hands on Saturday night at AEW’s WrestleDream pay-per-view.

The event took place at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington.

Konosuke Takeshita is the new International Champion. He defeated Will Ospreay and Ricochet in a three way to capture the title.

Jon Moxley is the new World Champion, defeating Bryan Danielson to once again become the champion.

Below are excerpts from Alex Kahrs’ AEW WrestleDream recap of how the title changes went down.

For the International Championship – Takeshita doesn’t get time to enjoy the moment as Ospreay sends him back into the ring, getting a nearfall once and then going for the cover before Callis pulls the ref out of the ring. Callis has a screwdriver in hand as he looks for revenge on Ospreay, but the champ sets him up for a Tiger Driver…until a hooded figure rushes into the ring, attacking him with a screwdriver instead! The figure reveals himself as Kyle Fletcher, and in the midst of all the confusion the champ gets laid out with a running knee strike by Takeshita! Callis wakes the ref up, getting him in the ring to make the count as Takeshita takes the win and the belt!

For the World Championship – Both men are down, but manage to go at it as they trade boots to each other’s head…until Bryan gets the LeBell Lock on Mox! Jon breaks free, but the champ catches him with a triangle hold…but Mox gets a body scissors before going for a cross arm breaker! No! Bryan breaks free, and dodges Mox to hit a Busaiku knee…but the challenger kicks out once again! Another Busaiku knee is met with a lariat, and Mox hits another one for what amounts to a nearfall. He brings Bryan up to his feet, nailing him with the Death Rider…but only gets a one count before the champ manages to kick out. Mox can be heard telling Danielson not to make him do it, but a defiant champ responds with a headbutt…only to be dropped with a Gotch style piledriver by Moxley. Jon cinches in a rear choke as Bryan fights to his feet, looking to break the hold…but he’s fading, and falls down to the mat! Bryan is out, and the ref calls for the bell!

During the Zero Hour pre-show, Brian Cage defeated Atlantis, Jr. to win the Ring of Honor World Television Championship.
