It was announced during Monday’s WWE Raw, that the show is reverting back to two-hours beginning October 7 up until it’s final run on the USA Network which ends December 30.

PWInsider has provided some more details on why Raw is going back to two-hours and if it will continue in that length once it premieres on Netflix in January.

The report notes that when WWE made their short-term deal with the USA Network to keep Raw from October to December, the deal was for two-hours and not three. The goal was to keep Raw running weekly and the length of the show was not as important as keeping the show in place on USA through the end of year, before it moves to Netflix. Furthermore, it was notes that WWE also wants to continue to be a good partner to USA, especially since they will be continuing their relationship with SmackDown moving to the network on Friday, September 13, as part of a five-year agreement.

PWInsider concluded by noting they have asked if Raw will revert back to three-hours or stay at two-hours when it debuts on Netflix in January. The publication says they have not received a definitive yes or no and that there has been some in WWE that have played coy when asked, while others have suggested they will have the ability to be flexible with the length of the show depending on what is needed that specific week on Netflix.
