WWE Hall of Famer John Bradshaw Layfield’s has made recent appearances in AAA and GCW, along with his surprise appearance at TNA Wrestling’s Emergence PPV special last Friday.
According to PWinsider Elite, JBL is still under to a WWE Legends contract, which allows him to be booked by WWE and work for other promotions, as long as he does not use the JBL gimmick that is owned by WWE. JBL is being called or referred to as just John Layfield during his non-WWE appearances.
The report further notes that sources within WWE reportedly have said they have no issues with JBL working for promotions outside of WWE.
