WWE Hall of Famer Afa Anoa’i passes away at 81

The wrestling world mourns the loss of Afa Anoa’i, a WWE Hall of Famer and one-half of legendary tag team The Wild Samoans.

Afa’s passing was announced on social media by his son, Samu Anoa’i.

Born Afa Amituana’i “Arthur” Anoa’i on November 21, 1942, his run in professional wrestling saw Afa win tag team gold alongside his brother, the late Sika Anoa’i, across a multitude of territories and promotions.

The pair were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007, and the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2012.
