In an interview with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Chad Gable talked about his new deal with WWE.
Previously reported and confirmed ahead of WWE Clash at the Castle, Gable revealed that he has re-signed with the company for three years, adding:
To extend my relationship with the company that has done so much for me, afford me things that I never thought I would be able to do, travel around the world and back 100 times it feels like. See things I never would have saw. meet people I never would have met, and just live a childhood dream, which so many people never get to do. How could I not be grateful for that?
To continue that relationship, I’m so excited. To end my career, if you ask me, I have ten years left in me. I feel physically as good as I ever have. To be hitting a peak, I feel, of my career at this point is awesome.
Gable has been involved in an angle with the debuting Wyatt Sicks, leading to a memorable segment that saw the former RAW and SmackDown Tag Team Champion attacked by the group.
Addressing the fan response to the segment, Gable recounted how someone close to home reacted:
That was quite a night. Out of everything I’ve done over the past couple of years, the response to that was so out of this world insane. People thought, I can’t tell you the amount of people that thought something actually happened to me.
I went to Church that Sunday and I ran into a little kid who was watching, I was kind of hiding my head from him, and he was making his way around me to get a look at my head. ‘Where did it go?’ ‘I fixed it. I went to the hospital. It was bad.’ ‘What did they do to you?’ ‘You’ll have to tune in tomorrow night.’ They were into it.
Gable teamed with the Creed Brothers to face the Wyatt Sicks in their in-ring debut on the 8/5 edition of Raw.
