Fightful Select has released a new report stating that the Lucha Bros have spoken with WWE, in an attempt to be signed as a package deal.
The former AEW World Tag Team Champions, whose contracts with the company are set to expire in the next couple months, have expressed that they do not want to go to NXT, meaning the pair would be elevated directly to the main roster should they be signed.
The report states that AEW has made efforts to re-sign Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix, but the talks were delayed by the pair themselves.
One source indicated that they “wouldn’t be surprised” to see the Lucha Bros head to Orlando to prepare for their WWE run, but the company has not directly commented on their talks as of this writing.
