Paul Levesque on Bobby Lashley and MVP’s status with WWE: “We sign talent, talent contract runs out”

After WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque and WWE CEO and President Nick Khan had a meeting with the mayor of London about the possibility of bringing WrestleMania to the city in the future, Levesque was asked by local media, if he could provide an update on the contract status of Bobby Lashley and MVP.

Levesque said the following as it relates to Lashley and MVP:

“No, just like any sport, any business, we sign talent, talent contract runs out, we release talent. It’s just part of the process, so it’s an ongoing thing.”

We had reported back on July 21, that Bobby Lashley’s WWE contract is scheduled to expire in the next month or two. According to a report from F4WOnline this past Monday, Lashley and MVP want to reform The Hurt Business in AEW and bring in Shelton Benjamin in as well.

MVP took to social media on Wednesday night commenting on his time with WWE, by saying “what a ride.”
