According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, a guest referee spot has been scheduled for a featured bout at WWE SummerSlam, speculated to be Seth Rollins for a planned match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre.
WrestleVotes has since confirmed this detail, though it has been noted that Punk is still in the process of getting cleared to return, with Meltzer writing that the former WWE Champion went to Orlando “as part of the process to get cleared earlier this week.”
Despite reports of the two facing off in Cleveland for the premium live event on Saturday, August 3, the Punk-McIntyre match has not been officially announced as of this writing.
