CM Punk comments on potential WWE-UFC crossover: ‘We’re all fighters’

TKO Group Holdings, the company formed from the WWE-UFC merger last September, shared a video on social media with Punk discussing the importance of the two companies being under the same umbrella:

Looking at the connections between both companies, Punk said:

“…what’s important about this is it brings pro wrestling back to its roots. I think there’s a lot of similarities, there’s a lot of parallels. And at the end of the day, we’re all brothers and sisters. And we’re all fighters. So it’s really exciting for me to see.”

The former WWE Champion competed in two fights for UFC during his time away from pro wrestling, facing Mickey Gall in 2016 and Mike Jackson in 2018.

Punk has been away from in-ring action since sustaining a torn triceps during the Royal Rumble, but could potentially be cleared in time for SummerSlam on Saturday, August 3.
