Meiko Satomura advertised for WWE live events in Japan

WWE is set to run live events in Japan later this month, with a number of names featured in the advertising.

Among these is Meiko Satomura, who has not wrestled for the company since March 2023 when she faced Roxanne Perez at NXT Roadblock.

The co-founder of Japan’s Sendai Girls promotion was hired by WWE in January 2021 primarily in a “player/coach” role within NXT and NXT UK, becoming NXT UK Women’s Champion during her stint with the latter brand.

Satomura competed at Korakuen Hall for a show produced by Kenta Kobashi last month, which Kobashi later confirmed was granted by WWE.

WWE’s tour of Japan sees the company making a stop at Edion Arena in Osaka on July 25, followed by two nights at Ryōgoku Sumo Hall in Tokyo on July 26 and 27.

Cody Rhodes, Shinsuke Nakamura, Asuka, Kairi Sane, and Dakota Kai are also featured in the advertising for the upcoming tour.
