During Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, the Young Bucks announced they will have a wildcard entering into the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament on next week’s Beach Blast episode of Dynamite. The two brothers said it will be someone that go on to win the tournament and then will go on to become the new AEW World Champion.
While it is said to be not 100 percent confirmed, Fightful Select is reporting the wildcard could be “Hangman” Page, which has already been speculated by fans.
Page has been scheduled to return to AEW this summer, after taking time off following his match against Samoa Joe and Swerve Strickland at the Revolution PPV, which took place this past March. Prior to taking the time off, Page was seemingly a heel. He is expected to be a heel upon his return.
If Page returns, he will square off against Jeff Jarrett next week as part of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
Next week’s AEW Dynamite, which will be the fallout from Forbidden Door, will air live on TBS and emanate from the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
