TMZ has reported that Charles Scaggs (also known as 2 Cold Scorpio) was recently arrested for an incident that took place during a gas station fight in Kansas City, Missouri.
According to court documents, the former ECW World Television Champion’s arrest comes from stabbing a man, an act that Scaggs claimed was in self-defense.
Speaking to authorities, Scaggs said the incident happened while he was working as a security guard at the store when he saw a man lighting up a cigarette inside, something the victim has refuted as simply not being fully extinguished.
Things quickly escalated from a heated exchange of words to violence once the pair were outside the store, where Scaggs claimed the man tried to grapple with him.
Scaggs would go on to tell authorities he pulled a knife from his pocket, stabbing the victim in self-defense, but investigators following up were reportedly informed the former WCW Tag Team Champion was the aggressor.
Scaggs, who was put behind bars and released on bail, later pleaded not guilty to charges of first-degree assault and armed criminal action and is due back in court next month for a hearing.
