Speaking to News4JAX on their Going Ringside segment, Jerry Lawler gave an update on his health, stating things have been good even with “a little bit of hobbling here and there” following a recent knee replacement surgery.
The WWE Hall of Famer was then asked about his contract with WWE coming to an end, confirming that his deal as a commentator expired but that he was “still under contract” thanks to a Legends deal with the company.
I had two strokes about seven months ago, and so they [determined]…that’s not good for commentary. But I’m still under contract with them.
Lawler last appeared for WWE at a show in Memphis last year, as well as a pre-taped segment for NXT five months ago.
