Swerve Strickland will be defending the AEW World Championship against Roderick Strong on the June 5 episode of Dynamite.
The match was made by Tony Khan during a backstage segment on Saturday’s Collision, as Lexy Nair was attempting to get a word with the Undisputed Kingdom.
Strong confronted Kahn and told him that he was supposed to be the last man in the Casino Gauntlet that took place on last Wednesday’s Dynamite. Strong then suggested to Khan he should challenge Swerve for the championship on Dynamite. Tony Khan then it was a good idea and made the match official.
Also scheduled for the 6/5 episode of Dynamite is the return of MJF and Mariah May vs. Saraya.
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite will take place live on TBS and emanate from the Blue Arena in Loveland, Colorado.
