Appearing on the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, the chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority was asked if the 2025 Royal Rumble was being considered for a future Saudi show.
Turki Alalshikh, who previously told ESPN that Saudi Arabia was looking to bring WrestleMania or Royal Rumble to the country as part of an enhancement in their current agreement with WWE, responded by saying the parties involved were “talking around ’26-’27.”
The ten-year partnership between WWE and Saudi Arabia has seen several events in the country, from exclusive shows like Crown Jewel and The Greatest Royal Rumble to premium live events such as Elimination Chamber and the upcoming King & Queen of the Ring, which takes place on Saturday, May 25 following SmackDown’s debut in the country the night before.
This comes after a previous statement from WWE President Nick Khan that the “big four” premium live events (Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series) are not expected to be hosted outside of North America.
