Madison Rayne says she is okay following Wednesday’s Dynamite, after what looked to be a scary spot during her match against Deonna Purrazzo.
Near the end of the match, it looked as if Rayne landed directly on top of her head. The referee then immediately checked on Rayne. Shortly after, she tapped out to an ankle lock applied by Purrazzo.
Rayne last wrestled on an episode of ROH last August. Purrazzo is set to challenge Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship at Revolution on March 3.
According to F4WOnline, Hangman Adam Page could be dealing with a serious ankle injury, following Wednesday’s Dynamite.
The report notes that Page appeared to be hurt after flipping out of a muscle-buster attempt during the main event match on Wednesday night.
Page tagged out and never returned to the match. As Dynamite was coming to a close, Page could be seen holding his ankle on the outside and then telling a camera operator to stop filming him.
Bryan Alvarez notes Page’s ankle could be broken. Dave Meltzer also noted that AEW most likely will address the injury on this Saturday’s episode of Collision if Page cannot compete.
However, Fightful Select is reporting that the injury is just part of an angle and was doing just fine backstage.
