WWE’s CM Punk provides an update on when he might return to the ring

CM Punk attended Saturday night’s UFC 298 event at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA.

Backstage at the event, Punk was asked by Caroline Pearce of UFC on TBT Sports about when he thinks he might return to the ring, after tearing his triceps at the Royal Rumble.

“We’re thinking maybe six to eight months, but I’m not really in a rush to get back to compete. I’m in a rush to get healthy. I’m in a rush to get better. The sooner I do that, the better I’ll be when I come back.”

Punk also said that he was originally scheduled to headline WWE WrestleMania 40 before the injury took place. He then added that he will not be cleared for in-ring action until the second half of this year.

Monday’s WWE Raw, which is the go-home show for Saturday’s Elimination Chamber in Perth Australia will also take place from the Honda Center in Anaheim.
