PWInsider has reported that TNA Wrestling held a Zoom meeting with talents to inform them of Scott D’Amore’s departure from the company.
With the head of Anthem also on the call, the company proceeded to introduce the roster to the new TNA President, Anthony Cicone, who gave what was described as a “prepared statement” about taking on the role.
According to the report, a number of talents were informed D’Amore “stepped down” from TNA, which is not in line with what the company announced in their official statement.
This did not sit well with the talents, states the report, with some described as “extremely angry” at the beginning of the meeting given their connection to D’Amore and others nothing they have to give the new exec a chance.
It has been noted that the remainder of the creative team are still with the company, though nothing specific was stated regarding creative going forward.
